I'm a bit biased, I admit. But the sideways swivel is just awesome on an Opel GT
What is your favorite?

I know alot of you do not agree, but these

Those are the best popups for sure, but as far as hidden lamps go...

I love those!

I was never a fan of pop-forward lights. Especially these old Celicas. Looked 1000x's better as pop-ups.

I've considered converting a C3 to pop-forward, because then the lights could have the double-streamlined panache of a late C1 when up, and a more similar look to an ALMS/whatever fixie-light C3 when down. If I had one, I'd almost certainly do it.

I was going to say, you got a c3 to chop up?

I've always liked the complete flip on the C4 Corvette.
Somehow I can't find a gif of them in action, though.

There's no reason not to make the conversion bolt-on, I'd say. Car keeps value, you get to have giggles in the meantime.

About as pop-up as those side-ways swivel Opel lights :P

ha I am having giggles thinking about it. Awesome

I think I might be in the minority but I don't like any of them.

A '73 C3 is on my bucket list. Fiberglass taper-nose, boat tail. It's not in demand the way the pure early C3s are, quite, and it uses a setup for a little better noise-deadening up front - while being before the worst of the emission crap. Even assuming a rework of some of that, it's one of the most desirable to me.

never have been a fan of "pop ups" but love 63-67 corvettes swivel and then of course I love 67-69 Camaro RS hideaway headlights.

Yep.

The great thing about the Opel is that it uses a completely manual, mechanical lever to flip them, not electric, so they don't suffer the fate than many pop-ups do.

The Bugeye Not-Sprite.
(or Frogeye, if you prefer)

I've always thought the C4's pop-ups were pretty damn cool. Not my video below, but a good demonstration.

If not, I'd say either those Opel GT Pop-ups, or the Riviera clamshells, as Party-VI said.

Indeed, it involves a lot of manual labour!

The Double Decker ones of the good old Cizeta always struck me as deeply amusing.
